• ROLE: Protagonist / Reluctant Bartender / Cosmic Resonance Channeler

• DOSSIER: Trapped at a dusty Mojave roadhouse after escaping her abusive ex in a highway crash, she’s been waiting 18 months for a woman she’s not even sure is real, and a fog that refuses to clear. She writes deeply personal songs she has never played out loud. Somehow everyone here knows them.

  When even this reality begins to unravel, she finds her songs are more than just stories. They're a weapon against Erasure.

ALMA

• ROLE: Psychopomp / Soul-Guide / Resident Empath

• DOSSIER: Alma always carries a flash of her signature purple, a deep sense of empathy, and her own history driving her forward. She serves as Purgatory’s primary soul-guide.

  Gentle to a fault, she will walk straight into danger to make sure no one is left behind.

JOSIE

• ROLE: Town Enforcer & Matriarch / 5-Star General / Disarming Old Lady

• DOSSIER: The spry, 80-year-old owner of the Long Way Inn who acts as the unshakeable anchor holding Purgatory together. She drives her beat-up pickup with zero depth perception, and keeps a loaded .22 rifle in her truck’s lockbox "just in case."

  She will sacrifice anything it takes for the greater good. And if that means you're stuck out in the fog facing your past to find your voice, well… that's just a Tuesday night.

BOB

• ROLE: Short-Order Cook / Handyman / Blacksmith of Bologna

• DOSSIER: Stoic roadhouse owner who communicates almost entirely in grunts, loathes physical touch, and applies ancient forge-master precision to everything he fixes and every meal he makes.

  When it comes time to create powerful beacons or fight off Erasure, Bob will bank powers and draw on eons of memory to create portals, weapons, and impossible tunnels.

NYX

• ROLE: Liminal Ferry Driver / Nocturnal Shapeshifter

• DOSSIER: A goth taxi driver who vapes in the shadows, drinks gas-station coffee, and ferries souls across dimensional borders in her black cab. She can shapeshift if the need arises, enjoys good jerky, and finds the living world’s obsession with smartphone cameras completely insufferable. For that matter, the living world in general.

  Her loyalty is unquestionable, and when her people are threatened, she will call down the moon and stars to save them.

CHLOE

• ROLE: Metaphysical Shopkeeper / Earth Mother / Psychic Blocker

• DOSSIER: Operates her shop in a haze of patchouli and sage while driving a moon-and-stars hand-painted VW van (WTCHYWMN). She reads tarot on overturned astrological tubs and bakes cookies.

  When cosmic horrors come knocking, Chloe rallies psychics and ghosts alike to keep the shadows at bay, and forges a path of fire with Lucien to lead the town to safety.

ELLA (ELLIE)

• ROLE: The Eternal Teen / Memory Keeper

• DOSSIER: Chloe’s daughter, who has been stuck turning sixteen for twenty consecutive years. Deeply done with being stagnant, she ditches tradition and refuses the cycle, only to become a restorer of souls.

  Forced to grow up too quickly, quite literally, Ella leads the newer souls in the defense of Purgatory.

LUCIEN

• ROLE: Glam-Rock KJ / Trickster / Bright Star

• DOSSIER: Styled like a thrift-store David Bowie or Freddie Mercury in glittery boas, neon muscle tees, and deep blue eyeliner. Persuasive and kind, he knows the exact songs in your soul before you even step up to the mic, and holds an inner light powerful enough to open portals… and shred shadows.

  When the town is threatened, he first deceives the shadows, before exploding into a fiery… and pointed… weapon of light.

CAL

• ROLE: Spoken-Word Poet / Coffee Master / Barrier Weaver

• DOSSIER: The slight, androgynous owner of Liminal Coffee and Lucien’s partner. They soothe frayed travelers with impromptu piano poetry ("Anyway..."), forcing shy singers to find their voices while gently reassuring them.

  When the townfolk face invasion, they use harmonic chords to weave literal dust-and-wind storm barriers against the encroaching storm.

HADES

• ROLE: Underworld Administrator / Overworked Deity

• DOSSIER: Ella’s father, who steps out of the shadows in full black regalia whenever cosmic laws collapse and the afterlife leaks. Weary, stoic, and perpetually unappreciated, he secures administrative safe spaces in his realm to house souls affected by cosmic erasure, and calmly upholds the laws as a general in his own right.
• When Oblivion knocks on the very gates of the afterlife, Hades drives it back with a force so strong, it changes everything.

PHILLIP

• ROLE: Underworld Lieutenant / Master Swordsman / Honor-Bound Defender

• DOSSIER: A former geeky Black kid who picked up fencing to dodge bullies and dream of knighthood, bringing that same discipline into military service and beyond. One mistake leaves him serving as Hades' right-hand man in the afterlife, keeping order and counting heads.

• A pawn in Josie's battle plan, he nevertheless wields one of the most powerful weapons in the Underworld, and can slash shadows like no other.
